Anyone else guilty of owning way too many basic tee’s?
There are few things I love more than a crisp white tee. You can pair it with anything from leggings to jeans. You can dress them up or down, making them tailored to whatever vibe you’re feeling that day. The only thing is, finding a quality white t-shirt that’s not see through and won’t turn a yellow tint after you wash it is pretty freaking hard. I remember one time I was going to H&M to stock up on basic white tee’s and I could see my belly button through every. single. one. of them. Not a good look when that’s not what you’re trying to achieve.
Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m all for getting some cheap basics from H&M, but my motto is to buy higher quality basics that are a little more expensive, resulting in buying fewer in the long run. So, without further ado, here are my go-to stores/brands for the best quality basic tee’s:
Z-supply: The best store for basics, mainly because that’s all they have! If you go on the site, you’ll see what I mean. They are a little bit pricey, but it’s definitely worth it. The white tee’s I have from there still look new and haven’t pilled or anything. I am also a huge fan of their sweatpants and shorts- everything is so soft and comfy!
Madewell: Madewell has great quality clothing, so of course you can’t go wrong with any of their basics. My favorites are the crew neck tee’s since they’re thick and last a long time.
Urban Outfitters: I love Urban’s basics for the opposite of everything I talked about for the other brands- some of their signature V-necks are thin and burnt out looking, but with a cute bralette they’re perfect for layering.
Mango: I love Mango’s basics because they probably have 1000 versions of a plain white tee. You can find them with different sleeve designs and all different fits. The prices also aren’t that bad either.
