BEST FACE MASKS FOR CLEAR + GLOWING SKIN

THE BEST + MOST EFFECTIVE AT-HOME TREATMENTS

Taking care of my skin has always been really important to me, especially with having sensitive, breakout prone skin. I have tried so many products and have really done my research in order to finally figure out what works best for my skin. You’re going to find that I tend to gravitate towards products that gently remove the dead skin and keep my skin clear and glowing. These products are also amazing at preventing aging, something that I think everyone can benefit from. Even if you think some of these products are pricey (as did I), I’m telling you these are ALL worth it. Keep reading to see why these treatments are always in my regimen!

Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask

Last summer I was super frustrated with how my skin was looking and went into Sephora and got a bunch of samples of masks and treatments. Once I tried this one, I knew I would be hooked (which isn’t very good for my wallet, but WORTH IT). It is a jelly like texture and makes your skin GLOW. This mask is all natural, along with the rest of the Tata Harper brand, and uses hydroxy-acids to get rid of those dead skin cells. It helps reduce pore size and you can use it multiple times a week, as it’s not harsh at all and even great for sensitive skin. Try a sample from a retailer if you don’t want to splurge without trying it!

Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Extra Strength Daily Peel

My holy grail skin care item. When I run out of these, my skin hates me. I have found that my skin reacts best to chemical exfoliators, such as glycolic and lactic acid. They help brighten my sun spots and left over hyperpigmentation (dark spots from breakouts). You just take these pads out and follow the instructions. I started with the regular strength ones (linked below) and now I use the extra strength. When I use these my skin is SO much more clear the next day and I find that my makeup applies much smoother. I have read a lot of celebrity facialists also recommend these for at-home upkeep between facials.

REN Glycol Lactic Radiance Renewal Mask

Yet again, another glycolic + lactic acid mask. Seriously guys, if you haven’t tried these types of treatments on your skin, no matter what your skin type is, TRY THEM! This is another mask on the more natural side that helps brighten and keep your skin glowy and hydrated. I also love using this mask as a spot treatment. It’s been a staple of mine for years and I’ve also left it on for like 5 hours and it’s totally fine.

Glamglow Supermud Clearing Treatment

This mud mask is perfect for taking any excess oil off the skin, making it perfect for healing blemishes and even razor burn. The only skin types I wouldn’t recommend to use this is dry skin- it might be a little too drying. Other than that, this is the perfect mask to use when you’re experiencing breakout and is also the perfect spot treatment to dry blemishes out overnight!

Mario Badescu Drying Lotion

I found this product about 6 years ago and I just can’t get away from it. I’m sure a lot of you have heard of it by now, but if you haven’t, it’s a drying lotion that you dab on any blemish and keep on overnight. You don’t shake it up, you just dip a Q-tip into the bottle down to the bottom and it will shrink any pimple significantly. It contains calamine lotion for healing, as well as alcohol and salicylic acid for drying and shrinking the breakout. It’s a miracle worker! A little goes a long way so you will certainly get your money’s worth.

Kate Somerville ExfoliKate

This is another widely talked about product that I believe is worth the hype. I don’t use it too often, because even though it’s great for sensitive skin, I try to limit my use of physical exfoliators (I never want to risk aggravating my skin). But when used in moderation, this mask is awesome because it removes the dead skin on your face and also goes in deeper with lactic acid and other enzymes to brighten and renew the skin.
